In 1967, Martin Luther King Jr. spoke to Mike Wallace from NBC News to get info on why America was still going through riots and civil disturbance, even after the 1964 and 1965 Civil Rights Bills were passed.

Dr. King describes a “new phase” of the Civil Rights Movement that still hasn’t been resolved and how the Vietnam War distracted the U.S. to commit to solving the economic equalities African Americans faced.
